Performance and Range

Tesla lists a 343 kW dual-motor setup and a 0–100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds. The claimed 580 km range not only eclipses the outgoing Performance (514 km) but, on paper, also edges the current Long Range AWD’s “up to 551 km” figure.

Chassis and Drive Modes

As with the latest Model 3 Performance, the Model Y Performance gains adaptive suspension and bespoke drive modes aimed at broadening comfort and handling bandwidth.

Design Cues

A more aggressive front bumper leads the refresh, joined by a rear carbon-fibre lip spoiler. A “Ludicrous” badge mirrors the branding introduced on the 2024 Model 3 Performance.

Wheels and Brakes

New 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 wheels replace the previous Uberturbines; the design appears visually similar to the 21-inch Arachnids seen on Model S Plaid.

Cabin and Tech

The performance front seats add more lateral support and comfort features (heating, ventilation, thigh extension). A 16-inch QHD first-row touchscreen debuts here, the same size seen in the China-market 6-seat Model Y L.

How It Fits in the Australian Model Y Range

  • Model Y RWD: $58,900 before on-roads; 0–100 km/h in 5.9 s; claimed range 466 km
  • Model Y Long Range AWD: $68,900 before on-roads; 0–100 km/h in 4.8 s; claimed range up to 551 km
  • Model Y Performance: $89,400 before on-roads; 0–100 km/h in 3.5 s; claimed range 580 km
